One of the very first buildings to be assembled was, what was affectionately called the "tabernacle".  The tabernacle was built to hold approximately 200 people and has a very high ceiling, requiring the people building the structure to be brave as well as determined.  It was a group of women and a few ministers that built and constructed the largest building in the camp.
It soon became apparent that it would be necessary to build a small cafeteria for this new camp that was to be an extended work in progress.  The cafeteria was built with the help of believers, students, and family.  Before it was to be built a very large water cistern was laid into the ground so that water could be stored for students and faculty.  As well as having a storage unit for water, the first of several waterlines from the closest well had to be laid several miles - so supplies, piping, people, and a mechanized digger had to be gathered.
Construction continued slowly , as believers from abroad and from local churches began to invest their time, labor, and finances into the vision of a camp where they might provide youth and adults alike with an environment that allowed Christian minds to be enlightened and empowered.
As with many endeavors in a believers life, a lot of sweat, and tears went into every step of making this vision progress
